Taking your event to the next level starts with creating an atmosphere and experience that “wows” guests upon arrival and stays with them for days to go. Fall is being a very popular season with many options for decoration means that this is your opportunity to elevate your event. So let’s talk about how a few ways to upgrade your decor without breaking the bank.
1. Pumpkin Centerpieces
Materials: Mini pumpkins, gourds, artificial leaves, acorns, and battery-operated tea lights
Instructions: Pumpkins are everything! Add some gourds in, along with different sizes and colors for dimension. Nestle the tea lights in the leaves- this will brighten the centerpiece up with a soft glow. Finish this off by sprinkling some acorns around.
2. Autumn Garland
Materials: Artificial leaves, burlap, twine, fairy lights
Instructions: Take a strand of leaves and a long length of burlap (cut to fit the size you need) and intertwine them around each other. Use twine to secure them to the fairy lights. This will give you simple but classic garland.
3. Mason Jars
Materials: Mason jars, battery-operated tea lights, burlap, plaid ribbon
Instructions: Nothing says fall like a good mason jar! Using the ribbon or burlap, give each jar a big bow on the front, and place a tea light inside for a quick lantern that can be placed on the floor, tables, and more!
4. Fall Wreaths
Materials: Wreath frame (wire or styrofoam), artificial leaves, burlap, corn, and sunflower sprigs
Instructions: Wrap strands of leaves around the frame, weaving them in and out. Add sprigs of sunflowers in for some dimensions, and use the burlap to attach a bundle of fall corn to the top of the wreath for a beautiful harvest-styled decoration.
5. Fall Photo Booth
Materials: A backdrop (i.e. large sheet or fabric), garland, mason jars, red wagon, cornstalk bundles, and pumpkins
Instructions: Create a perfect fall scene to snap a picture in! Use cornstalk bundles on either side of your backdrop to form a frame. Next, place a red wagon and some pumpkins or mason jars on the ground near the cornstalks for some depth. String the garland across the top of the backdrop to add to the scene. Then, grab a friend and pose!
BONUS TIP: scatter some leaves on the ground for a more realistic look!
6. Nature-Inspired Table Runners
Materials: Burlap or plaid fabric, leaves, acorns or branches.
Instructions: Want to add to that pumpkin centerpiece? Use your burlap or plaid fabric to reach each end of the table. Expand on your pumpkin centerpiece by scattering leaves, branches, and acorns down the runner.
BONUS TIP: add some mason jars for a little light!
